Some people need autotune. Lewis Capaldi is absolutely NOT one of those people! The Scottish singer stopped by Ellen to sing his chart-topping hit "Someone You Loved" and dominated his performance in every way imaginable. You can hear a bit more of his accent come through in this live version with every bit as much vocal range as you hear on the radio version and then some. The live string section in the backing band were a wonderful addition that set the live version apart from what you usually hear. Maybe it's just me, but it sounded like Lewis sang the track in a lower key and something about it made the whole thing feel much more impactful.Just an all-around fantastic performance!
