One of my favorite Netflix originals of all-time is coming to an end after its next season. Bojack Horseman, starring Will Arnett, Aaron Paul and Alison Brie among the other members of its strong cast, is wrapping up after its 6th season, which kicks off October 25th.
Interestingly, Netflix is looking to roll out the show's final season in an unorthodox way by dropping it in two parts. The first chunk will drop on the aforementioned October 25th season premiere date while the second half of the season will come later on January 31st.
What always stood out to me with this show is the emphasis on Bojack's own mental struggles, namely severe anxiety, depression, and a massive amount of self-hate. While that all can sound dark, the show's team always did a fantastic job of keeping things funny and relatable without being afraid to throw in the occasional tearjerker of a character backstory. In other words.. it's a comedy that left you thinking about yourself and how the way others perceive you. Side note, Aaron Paul's character Todd is easily my favorite in the series. He's such a kind, good-natured, fun-loving soul who always manages to stumble into some sort of over-the-top situation .
