LSU gymnast and social media influencer Olivia 'Livvy' Dunne reunited with one of her gymnastics heroes in a viral photo shared on her Instagram story Wednesday (April 17).
Dunne, 21, shared a selfie alongside multi-time Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman during the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships.
“Guys … I just touched Aly Raisman again!” Dunne wrote, referencing a photo shared on August 2012 with the caption “I can’t believe it I touched Aly Raisman" when she was 9 years old.
Dunne appears to have previously met Raisman in August 2012, shortly after the Massachusetts native won gold in the team and individual floor exercise events at the 2012 London games. The former Team U.S.A. star has since retired and is serving as a broadcaster for ESPN's coverage of the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships this weekend.
Dunne conclude her senior season at LSU this weekend with the No. 2 overall Tigers looking to win a national title one month after winning the SEC championship. The 21-year-old is the highest-earning female collegiate athlete with an NIL valuation of $3.7 million, trailing only Colorado Buffaloes football quarterback Shedeur Sanders ($4.7 million) and USC Trojans men's basketball guard Bronny James ($4.5 million), according to On3.com. The New Jersey native is also the second-most followed collegiate athlete on social media -- behind only James (13.4 million cumulative followers across multiple platforms) -- with 13.2 million cumulative followers on TikTok (7.9 million), Instagram (5.1 million) and X (124.3K).
